In 2011, the Fair attracted 348 exhibitors from 20 countries & regions, accounting for 13% growth, and 25,366 buyers from 120 countries & regions, representing 22% growth, to attend the Event. This international mix of buyers allows suppliers from Asia to find importers, distributors and retailers in the markets of the western world. Conversely, suppliers outside Asia can explore the great potential of regional markets, especially the enormous Chinese mainland market, with its growing and increasingly affluent middle class.
The opportunity exists to create new business partnerships with buyers from both traditional and emerging markets. Growth of buyer attendance from Europe and North America was strong, with 29.4% and 30.7% increase against last year. A larger percentage growth in emerging markets like Turkey and Russia market was recorded with 91.5% and 83.7% increase respectively.
The fair will be run concurrently with the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair, World’s 2nd largest of its kind, as well as Hong Kong International Licensing Show and the Hong Kong International Stationery Fair in 2012 again.
